Help! {Changing My Blog Name}

Okay so since we have recently moved and are no longer living in Nashville, that means I need to change my blog name! Does anyone know how to change your blog url so that it matches with the name? For instance, I don't want to the url to still say "Newlywed in Nashville" and my blog name to be something different. I didn't know if this was something I could do on my own, or needed to hire a pro for. Also, does this mean that I will lose all my followers? I guess I wasn't thinking when I picked this name, as much as I love it. I knew I wasn't going to be a newlywed forever, as much as I wanted to :)

Have anyone of you changed your blog name? What would you suggest I do? I want to make sure my readers are still able to follow me, even if I change my name. Do you think I should just keep the url "Newlywed in Nashville" forever and change the blog name itself? Or is that confusing to my readers?

Ah, I'm totally stressing out because I don't know what is the best thing to do. I'd love to hear what you guys have to say, since I clearly didn't think this one through! Oops! Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it!

I believe you can go into your Dashboard > Settings > Publishing and then change your name and it will redirect traffic from your old name to the new one. I don't think you will lose any of your template settings or followers either. Hopefully that helps! :)

its super easy all you have to do is change it in settings! The big thing is making sure your buttons and links change too!

Yes, the settings in your dashboard! Although I've heard people say it's "hard" to do it because it won't change in people's dashboards. They'll have to re-add it.

If you buy a custom domain through google ($10/year), it will automatically direct people to your new url. Go to settings, then publishing and you can buy a custom domain from there. That's what I did. My previous address was crissyberry.blogspot.com and now it's www.aberrysweetlifeblog.com , but if you type in my old address, it will redirect (and your button will still work!)

From another point if view, you will always have been "Newlywed in Nashville" so I think it's catchy and a good way to remember your journey! (I always wanted to change my blog from A Productive Endeavor to A Purposeful Endeavor but alas I never have. I wanted to use my APE acronym bcs of my obsession.) I'll change you in my dashboard if I need to. :o)
