Oh Life.

I apologize for being gone these past few weeks, to say it's been busy would be an understatement. Aside from getting adjusted to life in Ohio again, we have been trying to figure out how to make our apartment a home (on a budget), find time to hang out with our family and friends and oh did I mention, start a new job? Yeah, that's right, I got a job! Now it isn't my dream job, but for now it pays the bills. I am a manager at Ulta, and this is my third week at it so far. I really like how my job is task oriented so I'm always doing something, which makes the time FLY by. Plus, I am able to try our a lot of their products and get a great discount which I cannot complain about! For those of you who didn't know, I had applied to a full time graphic design job that I really, really wanted. After applying, designing two different logos for them and having an interview I felt confident to say the least. However, God had something else for me in store. It was a rough weekend (I found out on Good Friday), not to mention that Ulta has me on the schedule for Sunday, yes we're talking Easter Sunday, which was also the first Easter that Jor and I weren't with our families. Let's just say that all of that together made Easter 2012 one we will never forget. The one good thing about it, was that Jor and I got to make our own traditions and actually had a great day together, once I got home from work that is :)

I have also been dealing with some homesickness lately, which is nothing new. I am so glad that CT from OH is only 12 hours versus the 17 it was from TN, but it's still no easy drive. I always feel like I'm missing out on so many things living so far away. I am so thankful for Skype and cell phones. I honestly don't know where I'd be without them. That being said, the hubby and I have talked and prayed about it, and realize that for the time being this is where we are supposed to be, even though OH isn't anything special (no offense to any Ohioans). We have talked about moving back to the East Coast one day to be with our family but for now I am learning to be content and at peace with where I am today.

I would appreciate your prayers as I not only adjust to our life here in OH, but also that I will be thankful that I have such amazing family and friends back in CT that I actually miss. I am also on the hunt for another job, whether that be another part time job with Ulta, or something full time. I know that God will open the right doors for me when the time is right. I am just not the most patient person, and that is something I am trying to work on. All I know is that no matter what, I have my best friend and amazing husband by my side which makes everything that much better.

I am so glad to be back blogging again, I truly did miss it. I feel like I have so much catching up to do on everyone's lives! Can't wait to hear from you all again! I missed you!

I hope you settle in okay. I've been living in Pittsburgh for almost 10 months now and it still doesn't feel like home. The good news is, that even when I do have those pangs of homesickness, I have my fiance here by my side. Thank God for our men, right?!

It's true what they say- home is where the heart is :)

Jillian, I am sending lots of prayer, hugs and love your way!!

Recently hubs and I have been talking about having him take a work promotion but it could have us relocate and we just don't see it happening cause both our families are with us in PHX. I can't imagine what you're going through being "homesick". I'd be a wreck and I can only comfort you with words from afar.

As far as Ulta-- enjoy those discounts while you can!! Let those work days wash over your emotions and enjoy that time being busy.

Lots of love!
