Just what I needed

So after feeling a little down about not really having a lot of friends here in Nashville yet, our good friends Dave & Sara showed up at our doorstep (well they didn't just show up, we knew they were coming...) but anyways, you get the point. I just feel like everything always comes at the right time and it was truly just what I needed. Although it's been a little weird/annoying since Jordan and I have had to work some of the time they are here, it's been so fun the times when we aren't. We've gone out pretty much every night, in order to try to give them the Nashville experience. We went downtown last night to Broadway and it was interesting to say the least. I think there's a reason why it's only my second time there. Too many people in cowboy hats and Elvis impersonators walking around. It was an experience but we didn't stay long.

Yesterday Sara and I spent most of our afternoon going to the flea market/farmer's market where I got some awesome blue feather earrings, which I am currently wearing :) I know feathers have been around for a while back home, etc but they are HUGE here. Pretty much every store carries them and people freakkk out about them. I mean I would never paid more than like $5 for mine, that's why I was extremely happy when I only had to pay $4. SCORE. After our time at the flea market we headed over to Rugged Wearhouse which is owned by Gabriel Brother's (my love). It was about a half hour drive but totally worth it. I was surprised and very pleased to say the least. Sara and I got the same shirt and the same shoes, and they're awesome. We got a flowly green men's wear type shirt that is shorter in the front and longer in the back for $12.99. Totally can't wait to wear it with skinny jeans and heels. Then we got dark purple flats for $3.00 on clearance. I also got a  multi colored scarf for $4.99 and Sara got a pair of gold earrings with a jade stone in the middle for $3.99 (I LOVED them and wished there was another pair!)

We had a great time though, I love when I don't spend a lot ($22) but feel like I spent a ton. It's such a great feeling. After that we headed back home and met up with the boys. We went out to dinner at a pizza place (delic) in downtown and then went over to Broadway. I think we're going to do a haunted house/hayride tonight after Jor gets off work. I hate scary movies but somehow love haunted houses. Totally brings me back to my high school days and I love it. I'm sad that they are leaving tomorrow but so glad that we've gotten to spend a great weekend with our friends. And hey, they're only 5 hours away so there's definitely lots more of these trips in the future...
