5 fantastic months

Today marks 5 months of being married! I can't believe we have already been married for 5 months, it seriously doesn't seem real. I can't even describe how amazing these past 5 months have been. I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world that I fell in love with the man of my dreams and that he's all mine. He is so good to me and treats me like a princess everyday. Although I relive our wedding day quite frequently, one of my favorite memories is when Jordan read his vows to me. Now I don't remember every word of his vows due to nerves and overall excitement of the day (thank goodness we got it filmed!) but the one thing he said that will forever stick with me was when he said, "Jillian, there are many things and people in this world that I love, but there is not anything or anyone that I love more than you." And, cue the tears!

I love how being married inevitably brings out one question from everyone..."so how is married life?!" I love answering this question because everytime I just start smiling and think about just how great it is being married to your best friend. Now I can't lie, there are days when being married is not easy. It is totally not like the movies and regardless of who you are, I think you can agree with me on this one. That is not to say that it's still not amazing, but sometimes it is hard, really hard. Now when I say this I don't mean that it's difficult being married to Jordan by any means, but that marriage comes with difficulties that no book or marriage counseling session can prepare you for. We are learning everyday how to rely on the Lord and to love one another regardless of whatever challenges come our way. If any of you know me, you know I love to plan ahead and hate not knowing what the future holds. Not knowing where Jordan and I will be in a few months or what we will be doing is honestly really hard for me, but I am learning that life is a journey and that we're in it together. Wherever the Lord takes us, we know that we were meant to embark on it together, hand in hand.

That being said, happy 5 month anniversary baby, I love you so much!

So funny story: I recently came across this picture of us from our FRESHMEN year of college! We were sitting in the SSC about to exchange Christmas gifts before we left to go home for break. This was our first documented picture together! Even though we look so incredibly young, I still love this pic :)

And here we are at our wedding, on September 4, 2011...5 months ago!

I am so excited for all of the many months to come...and only 7 more until our one year!

Happy Saturday everyone, hope you have a relaxing and wonderful day!

This is so sweet :) Happy 5 months to you all! Matt and I have been looking at engagement rings the past month and have broke the news to our families that we are planning to get engaged soon. Of course I don't know the details and when this will be (or how he will do it), but it is an incredible/crazy feeling knowing that it is not far away for me and Matt! I'm really happy for you...it is a great feeling to feel like you have the person God intended for you...especially when they love you to their core and you know you feel that same way back! Nothing else like it :)

Hey Whitney! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I just found yours today and love it too! I'm excited to start following you as well! Nashville is a pretty fun city, even though it's a lot different from the east coast which is where we're both from! Have a great weekend! :)
